The building at 15 Lansdowne Street has been called AVALON since 1992. Now the home of AVALAND, AVALON underwent a major multimillion-dollar renovation in 1999. The new AVALON includes and additional 7,000 square feet of space created by annexing the MAMA KIN MUSIC HALL, a 600-person club, which was located next door.
AVALON is now a 2,000 plus capacity multi purpose venue and regularly plays host to both the world's top DJ talent as well as the world's most popular touring rock acts.

Directions:
From the East Bay Area: Take Highway 80 onto 101 North. Take the Fell/Mission street exit & go right onto Van Ness Continue on Van Ness for several blocks to Sutter Street. Avalon Ballroom is on the Northeast corner of Van Ness & Sutter.
From the South Bay Area: Take Hwy 101 north to the Fell/Mission Street exit & go right onto Van Ness Avenue. Continue up Van Ness Avenue for several blocks to Sutter Street. Avalon Ballroom is on the Northeast corner of Van Ness & Sutter.
From the North Bay Area: Take the Lombard Street exit. Continue on Lombard Street to Van Ness and go right on Van Ness. Continue up Van Ness Avenue for several blocks to Sutter Street. Avalon Ballroom is on the Northeast corner of Van Ness & Sutter.
