Opened and dedicated on January 27th, 1998, the arena proudly bears the name of the late Senator Paul E. Tsongas, a Lowell native. The arena is one of Massachusetts's newest venues providing quality entertainment for all ages. Some of the world's biggest stars have performed before capacity crowds at the Tsongas Arena.

The Paul E. Tsongas Arena, New England's state-of -the-art venue for quality entertainment. A convenient drive from Boston, Worcester, and Manchester, NH, this SMG managed arena brings excitement to more than one million residents of the scenic Merrimack Valley. The Tsongas Arena's open concourse makes this Lowell facility a great place to see a concert, sporting event or family show.

Directions:
FROM I-495 & RT 3: FOLLOW SIGNS FOR THE LOWELL CONNECTOR - EXIT 35C. EXIT OFF THE LOWELL CONNECTOR AT THORNEDIKE STREET - EXIT 5B. AT THE THORNEDIKE STREET EXIT YOU CAN ONLY GO RIGHT - MERGE IN WITH TRAFFIC AND STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE. CONTINUE STRAIGHT THROUGHT 7 SETS OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS. (THORNEDIKE STREET WILL EVENTUALLY TURN INTO DUTTON STREET). THE 8TH LIGHT WILL BRING YOU TO THE INTERSECTION OF FATHER MORISETTE BLVD. AND ARCAND DRIVE. GO STRAIGHT THROUGH THE LIGHT AND CONTINUE AROUND THE ROTARY IN FRONT OF THE TSONGAS ARENA.

FROM I-93: (FIRST WAY) TAKE EXIT 44B OFF OF I-93 - THIS WILL BRING YOU TO I-495 SOUTH.

FROM I-93: (SECOND WAY) TAKE EXIT 46 OFF OF I-93. FOLLOW RTE. 110 WEST TO LOWELL - ABOUT 7 MILES UNTIL THE INTERSECTION OF RT 38 AND BRIDGE ST. (DUNKIN DONUTS WILL BE ON RIGHT). AT LIGHTS TAKE A LEFT OVER THE COX BRIDGE (ITS GREEN). AFTER GOING OVER THE BRIDGE, STAY TO THE RIGHT AND AT THE FIRST SET OF LIGHTS TAKE A RIGHT ONTO FRENCH ST. GO THROUGH 2 SETS OF LIGHTS - AT THE THIRD LIGHT, THE ARENA CAN BE SEEN SET BACK BEHIND THE POST OFFICE.

Parking:
Adjacent to the Tsongas Arena is the Ayotte Parking Garage. It and other designated lots are available for event parking.

Rules and Restrictions: There is no re-entry. Video cameras are not permitted. There is no alcohol sold at college hockey games and there is no smoking allowed.

Children Rules:
Children ages two and under are free if they are sitting on a lap.

Miscellaneous:

Concessions: There are six concession stands available serving a varity of food. Alcohol is served during most events.

Restrooms:
There are six rest rooms available on the Concourse level, all are accessible.
